Angels

A. Good Angels

We believe that angels are personal, powerful, spirit beings who were created by God to be His servants in carrying out His plans in the world. They have a vital role in the worship of God, they participated in the revelation of the Word of God, they help protect the saints of God, and they carry out God’s vengeance.

Psalm 148:25; 1 Peter 1:12; Psalm 103:1922; Ezekiel 1, 10; Revelation 4, 5; Matthew 4:11; Acts 8,10,12; Hebrews 1:14

B. Demons

Isaiah 14:12 describes one of Gods angels as being the star of the morning, son of the dawn. This angel rebelled against God and later came to be known as the Devil or Satan. Paul identifies this beautiful angelic creation of God as Satan, who disguises himself as an angel of light,2 Corinthians 11:14. Through pride and rebellion, this glorious angel became the enemy of his Creator. One third of the angels followed him in his rebellion, and they are now called demons.

Now he is the unholy ruler of this age and of all the powers of darkness. He and his demons oppose the plan of God and seek to hinder the people of God, but they are under limitations imposed by God. Their time is limited and they are destined to the judgment of eternal justice in the lake of fire.
