Our church is part of a fellowship of churches that help each other and do ministry together. We are all hold a very similar baptistic doctrinal statement and we are all focused on making disciples.
The word “network” in our name says that we have relationship based on our beliefs and goals but that we do not have authoritarian power structures as many denominations do. We are a fellowship of independent churches that loves one another and seeks to help one another do the work of Christ better.
Three annual events form the core of our networking. We have a training seminar for pastors and missionaries, a spiritual life retreat for pastors/missionaries and wives, and we have a conference that includes everyone in our networked churches that is focused on encouragement and training in ministry.
One of the most important aspects of our Baptist Network Northwest is our church planting effort called the Northwest Baptist Home Mission. The mission facilitates the starting of new churches and the funding of church buildings through a sort of savings and loan that we call the “Revolving Fund.”
The BNN and NBHM are led collectively by a group of 15 men elected from our Network. Our church has benefited much from our fellowship with this group of churches for many years.
