First Baptist Church was born in September of 1887 with 11 charter members. Since then the church has seen many changes. The original building and all its furnishings were lost to a fire in 1930, but 7 months later a new building was completed. Later additions like Tillman hall (our basement fellowship center) and our education wing have brought the facility to its present design.
While the facility and program has changed over the years, the real heart of First Baptist Church hasn’t changed. That heart is one of a life changing relationship with God through faith in Christ. Each of us who are members of FBC know the joy of a life of meaning and purpose and hope in Christ and we would love to share that life with you. |
